Ultherapy®, also referred to as Ulthera®, is a non-surgical treatment to lift, tone and tighten sagging skin around the eyes, brow, face, under the chin and the neck area. Many of us experience these common signs of aging, but do not wish to undergo surgical procedures in order to reverse them. Ultherapy® offers an alternative solution with little to no recovery time required. The Vein & Cosmetic Center of Tampa Bay offers this innovative technique to reduce signs of aging and sagging skin, including wrinkles and inelastic skin, on your face and neck without any incisions (or injections) necessary for treatment. In fact, Ultherapy® is the only FDA approved treatment to lift skin on these hard-to-treat areas.
How does
Ultherapy® works?
Ultherapy® is a professional skin tightening method that uses high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) waves to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin—including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift. Collagen is stimulated by the ultrasonic waves and the heat that they provide. This can ultimately lead to improved elasticity and firmness in the skin. Ultherapy also works to trigger regeneration of healthier skin layers, providing a safe, natural lift to your face and neck.
During the Ultherapy® procedure, a special device will be gently guided over the treatment areas in order to deliver the appropriate amount of ultrasonic waves for the skin to begin a gradual smoothing and tightening process. Treatment can take anywhere from 30-90 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
Results
& Benefits
Because Ultherapy® requires no needles or incisions, recovery time is generally not necessary after treatment. Most patients are able to resume normal activity shortly afterwards. After your initial treatment, you will begin to see gradual results which will continue to improve over the following two to three months, as the skin layers and collagen regenerate. Tightening and elasticity will continue to improve over time. Optimal results will be achieved in up to six months, after the collagen has been renewed and strengthened.
